Whale Watching

From August to November, the Sapphire Coast plays host to some 40,000 humpback whales that journey along the ‘Humpback Highway’ on their way to Antarctica. Dolphin Cove Beach is one of the best spots along the coast to spot these magnificent creatures, and endangered southern right whales have been known to nurse their young right here in the cove. Dolphin Cove lives up to its name, with pods of playful dolphins spotted frolicking in the surf all year round.
